Two Reference Platforms Help Manufacturers Build a Range of Highly Manageable VoIP End-Point Devices

SAN JOSE, Calif., and TORONTO – February 7, 2005, Renesas Technology Corp., and Arcturus Networks Inc. today announced the availability of two turn-key reference platforms for voice-over-IP (VoIP) systems. The platforms are designed to help consumer VoIP product manufacturers bring end-point devices to market quickly and enable service providers to offer better billing options and new services to consumers cost effectively. The jointly developed solutions are based on the industry-leading Renesas Technology family of SuperH? microprocessors and enabled by a complete session initiation protocol (SIP) based VoIP telephony middleware stack provided by Arcturus.
